Play is often incorporated into foreign language classes as a method of remembering things. In my Spanish class in 8th grade we would often times play games in Spanish to get an interactive feel with Spanish and it made us use the language and relate it to something fun rather than something like a chore. I would like to see play incorporated into English classes more often through acting out books that we either write or that we are reading. In math we already use story and kind of mind play when we invent songs or stories to go along with formulas.
I really do feel as if play is something that lacks in school because we have breaks in the day to where we can play and hang out with our friends. Also, I feel as if it is up to the student to incorporate play into their learning if the teacher does not already incorporate it for them.
